TED Style Speaking Master Class - Free video series!
Get ready for the much anticipated Game Changers STEM dinner, which we’re thrilled to be hosting at the home of Cindy Hoots, Unilever’s Global Vice President of Technology.
We’ll be gathering the brilliant, brainy and sometimes bonkers STEM enthusiasts from across the Game Changers network and whacking them together with non-STEM or numerically challenged people like me. Put us all together in a melting pot of Game Changing idealism and what comes out are great connections and exciting conversations.
This dinner’s a little different to the normal ones. We’ll kick off with a little experiment we like to call "Gin DNA cocktails" with Renee Watson of Curiosity Box (consumption of science is optional), then we’ll have eats and problem solving conversations around STEM related themes.
Currently we have on the list these problems to collectively solve:
There’s a limited space, so let us know asap if you’re eager to join - I have a feeling this is going to be quite the gathering!
Game Changers is a diverse, not-for-profit network of senior female leaders who are passionate about creating positive change, within their organisation, or beyond. I was very impressed by the planning – the schedule was thoughtful and well managed, with strong session facilitation. I was extremely satisfied with the quality of feedback, not just to myself but to the other speakers throughout the event. I enjoyed the opportunities to put into practice the theory and techniques of TED talks.
I enjoyed the day, learned a lot and had the opportunity to explore my public speaking style in a great group setting.
Working with Luke in the Body Confidence session is a journey of discovery on the power of an awakened body. Over a lifetime of injuries and stresses, both major and everyday, the body is thrown out of balance. This in turn leads to imbalances in our brain structures.
By enabling us to learn a more natural posture, Luke offers the possibility of correcting learnt behaviours that reflect and cause mental and physical imbalance that, amongst other effects, increases anxiety and saps confidence. His acute observation and attentiveness, fuelled by seemingly endless reserves of patience and kindness, make discovering our natural posture a profoundly fascinating and enjoyable experience.
Even though i have experience as a teacher and trainer there were so many aspects of this day that added to my understanding and skills. All teachers should do it!
Before I worked with Ginger, I was reasonably relaxed about sales pitches, but anything motivating felt alien. I went from being a ‘wooden’ speaker to one who could get up in front of a large audience and speak from the heart.
Ginger offer public speaking training for emerging leaders and change makers. We emphasise authentic, fresh and courageous communication, including delivering TED style talks.More about Ginger >
